Ingrid Bakken

Nutritional Therapist, BSc, DipNT, mANP

My mission is to guide you in uncovering the underlying drivers and causes of your health concerns and symptoms, and empower you with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed choices about your health. By working collaboratively, I aim to help you understand how your unique physiology can be nurtured and optimised through personalised nutrition and lifestyle interventions.

I am a registered Nutritional Therapist, trained in Naturopathic Nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM, Bristol, United Kingdom), with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology from the University of Bristol. As a member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP), which upholds professional standards in the field, I adhere to strict codes of ethics and practice and undertake continuous professional development (CPD) to ensure my clinical skills are up to date with the latest scientific findings in nutritional therapy. In addition to my training in Naturopathic Nutrition, I have also received training in Mycotherapy, which involves utilising medicinal mushrooms for their therapeutic benefits in various clinical conditions.

Through my practice, I wish to simplify the complexity of nutrition and health, empowering you to reconnect with your body's innate intelligence and decipher its valuable signals and symptoms. In the realm of nutrition and long term wellbeing, it is crucial to acknowledge that there is no "perfect diet" that universally applies to everyone. Each of us possesses a unique genetic makeup, biochemical composition, and diverse needs shaped by our personal history, lifestyle, and emotional factors. Our nutritional requirements also evolve throughout our lifetime, adapting to our age, lifestyle, and other demands. Understanding and integrating these multifaceted factors is crucial.

I am deeply passionate about translating the latest scientific research into practical lifestyle approaches to improve overall mental and physical wellbeing. Together, we will navigate the intricacies of nutrition, exploring how different foods, lifestyle choices, and self-care practices impact your overall health and vitality. By embracing a tailored approach to nutrition and lifestyle, I believe you can enhance your overall health, nurture a harmonious relationship with your body, and achieve a profound sense of wellbeing.

I am fluent in English, Portuguese and Norwegian, and consultations are available online.
